Haley and Suheil’s Perfectly Crafted Wedding in Riviera Maya, Mexico

South Asian Destination Wedding Generations Riviera Maya

South Asian Destination Wedding Generations Riviera MayaIf the first look prior to the ceremony reveals just how in love the groom is with the bride, then Haley and Suheil’s touching pre-wedding moment makes it clear that this couple’s love is one that was meant to be. And when you have a moment like this in a tropical paradise in Mexico, it just can’t get any better.

Let’s take a look at some of the highlights and takeaways from their wedding that will help you as you consider your own beach wedding.

Haley and Suheil’s destination wedding journey began when we helped them select a destination and resort for their wedding. Using our Resort Match Finder process, it was clear that having some of their wedding events at Generations Riviera Maya and others at El Dorado Casitas Royale was best. This offered maximum flexibility and gave their guest access to many more amenities than just one resort alone.

Our clients worked with Preeti of Preeti Exclusive Events and Rebeca Barajas, wedding coordinator at Beky Weddings to plan out all of the details of their wedding vision. Preeti is a trusted vendor partner who takes very good care of every client we’ve recommended to her. And Haley and Suheil were no exception! She and Rebeca ensured that everything ran smoothly. Not an easy job when your wedding events span across two resorts!

Rwanda Studio were the videography and photography team for this wedding with help from Jesica Talento Films for videography. We love that they capture the finer details of weddings so well that you would think the portraits were for a high-end fashion magazine. They did an incredible job and they took good care of our clients!

Haley’s beautiful makeup, done by Carolina Bellavista and Co. (CB&O) was elegant, glamorous, and classic. This style puts emphasis on a bride’s natural beauty and it ensures that you won’t look dated in your wedding photos as the years pass. Going for a simpler style also means touching up your makeup will be easier no matter what the weather might be during your wedding week.

As you consider your own makeup, decide whether you’d like a look that is bold and colorful or more natural and classic. Neither option is wrong: go with the style that feels most like you! Choose a makeup artist who has many examples of being able to create the look you are considering in their portfolio.

For hair, Haley chose to work with Karen Gutiérrez who did a wonderful job of creating styles that suited Haleys striking features, especially her eyes. Each style was chic and yet also low maintenance so Haley could feel comfortable dancing and mingling with guests without worrying about having to touch up her hair. As you choose a hair stylist, ensure that they have the creativity to give multiple options for your wedding events.

Décor is a critical part of any good wedding and the team at Weddings By Lomas Travel did a fantastic job of making the most of each space Haley and Suheil chose for the wedding. Together with team members Valeria Martinez, Martiza Gusoto, and Caros Santa Maria We especially love the dramatic draping and lighting overhead in the El Dorado ballroom that set an elegant tone for our client’s sangeet night.

Wedding flowers take any space to a new level. The team at Etirios Floral Atelier expertly crafted floral designs that left us speechless. We loved the circular floral arch that was part of Haley and Suheil’s ceremony.

Everything kicked off with a welcome dinner at the Sky Terrace at Generations Riviera Maya which included the ever-popular shoe game. Guests answered questions using the couple’s baby pictures for an especially sweet touch.

There was also a cigar bar where guests could watch a fresh cigar made for them under the stars as they danced to the magnetic sounds of DJ JRK and DJ Div of MVP DJs. We loved the Champagne Taittinger cart available to offer guests champagne.

South Asian Destination Wedding Generations Riviera MayaDay two included Suheil’s baraat to the mehndi in the afternoon starting at the Pool Bar at Generations Riviera Maya. Suheil was brought over in a golf cart tastefully decorated with bright blooms as he enjoyed the view of friends and family dancing their way to the mehndi. Haley met him there dressed in gorgeous traditional lehenga with touches of cream, mint and peach.

Immediately after, they had the mehndi party at El Dorado Casitas Royale which had a “Tacos & Tequilas” theme in a private enclave. Between the fun games for the guests (like Jenga and beer pong), the incredible beats from MVP DJs, and an impromptu jump in the pool, it was a celebration to remember.

The brilliant team at Loto Mehndi did all the mehndi designs. They can handle requests for the most intricate to the simplest designs and they make sure you love every moment of the experience.

That evening, everyone gathered at the El Dorado ballroom that evening for the sangeet. With rainbow-colored light sticks in hand, the crowd celebrated with Haley and Suheil as the DJs played. Dancers on stilts wearing costumes lit with LED lights were on hand to add to the exciting atmosphere. The crowd enjoyed a game of Limbo and Haley and Suheil loved banging the water drums courtesy of Drums in Paradise.

Day three included the vow ceremony at The Pier at Generations Riviera Maya which featured a violinist playing softly as guests were treated to beautiful ocean views. Guests couldn’t help but take pictures and videos as Haley walked down the aisle.

Behind the beautiful couple, a gorgeous wedding arch bursting with flowers along with perfect views of the ocean made for the perfect backdrop. Afterward, Haley and Suheil’s reception was held at the El Dorado Ballroom where there were beautiful white, gold, and mint green ball decorations suspended from the ceiling.

Guests could also enjoy the spinning 360 photo booth available. The perfect beats by DJ JRK and DJ Div of MVP DJs had the guests rushing to the dance floor and staying there the whole night. From classics to modern songs, the DJs mixed melodies effortlessly and kept the guests moving.

If your wedding is supposed to reflect who you are as a couple, we say the many fun and meaningful touches at each event plus the elegant décor show that Haley and Suheil truly are a down-to-earth, caring and very chic couple. And it showed in every interaction, video and photo!

They had just the right blend of formal and fun to make this wedding extra special for everyone.
