When we first started researching for destination weddings in Mexico, we came across Ateet with Indian Destination Wedding (IDW) and we instantly felt a connection with him and his company. Immediately he made it personal and he truly took the time to understand what we envisioned for our dream destination wedding. Naturally we were confused and we needed guidance and he helped by connecting us with Dream Shaadi. From there, Ateet connected us with one of the best resorts in Cancún-The Grand at Moon Palace. We locked in this resort and Ateet handled all of the guest room bookings and accommodations.
He was very knowledgeable and was able to guide us and our guests in the right direction with the room bookings, flight accommodations, and airport transfers as well. At first, we weren’t sure that we even wanted to do a destination wedding and met with a few travel agencies to understand the process more. We automatically vibed with Ateet as he is very personable, trustable and he easily understood what we were looking for.
IDW is a fantastic agency that really provides exceptional options of wedding locations and really lays out all details, wedding packages, etc. We got married at the Hyatt Ziva in Montego Bay, Jamaica and Ateet’s network and knowledge really helped us with all guest questions, bookings, literally everything and anything – especially in Covid times.
IDW even helped us by recommending and setting up time for us to meet with wedding planners. The team was very responsive to our inquiries and the many questions we would have.

Oh just to remember how beautiful Jamaican sunsets were!!! During one of them we’ve found ourselves along with Kavita and Rajan in a tiny roadside fishing village. We had an AMAZING-AMAZING time in Jamaica couple of weeks ago with our friends Kavita and Rajan, their friends and families celebrating their wedding! We spent so much time together that after returning we all joked about going through “withdrawals,” which were only eased up by seeing each other at the wedding the weekend after.
There are so many images we want to share! Today, we wanted to start out with one of our favorites from a little adventure four of us to…ok on with the help of our awesome driver the day after wedding festivities wrapped up. We enjoyed our ride through picturesque countryside, when Kavita saw some goats grazing along the side of the road. She proclaimed that we HAD to take some photos with “her” goats! When we first approached Ateet with the daunting task of planning an Indian destination wedding in less than 6 months(!), we had no idea what to expect or if it was even possible. It was important to Anuj and me to have access to and be comfortable with the person managing the travel logistics for our wedding week, and we knew we would be in good hands from the first meeting with you.Throughout the over a year process, we appreciate how you provided us straight-forward answers (no beating around the bush), so we knew what was realistic vs. idealistic. When it came time to negotiate a contract, you came up with great points to include that we could never have thought of, and that lead to a more enjoyable experience for our guests. Your employee, Alyssa, remained polite, attentive, and kind in answering the guests’ many questions, including some of our last minute room changes.
Multiple guests personally texted us saying they loved communicating with her. It takes a special person to remain patient when stress is inevitably rising as the wedding week approached, but Alyssa and your team at large helped us remain calm! Nikita especially loved how you made a detailed “Know Before You Go” email 1 week prior to guest departure. It not only detailed what to expect at the airport and travel, but also a list of things to do at the resort and in Punta Cana itself. Our guests appreciated the information, and we appreciated how organized it was. It helped alleviate a lot of questions that we were already being asked the final week.
Anuj particularly enjoyed how you answered our questions in a very timely manner, to the extent that you even answered an email from us while you were on vacation (which we never expected!). It was so refreshing to work with a vendor where we knew where we stood – we were never in a position where we did not know what the next steps were.
It was very important to us to make sure our guests had safe and reliable transportation, and you provided that for us. During the week of the wedding, we had some difficulties with the transport pick-up from the Punta Cana airport. We appreciate how your team trouble-shooted the problem literally within minutes, and managed the travel from a few countries away. We knew we could count on you from the beginning, and that showed even until our flight back home.

We had our wedding in April 2024, and initially met with Ateet around December 2022. During our first phone call we felt very heard and understood on what we were looking for, and they were able to help us narrow down a venue based on our budget and requirements! We were concerned about the budget after getting some high quotes but Ateet had no problems staying within our budget. We also had a hybrid wedding (rather than a traditional Indian wedding) so it was a bit confusing trying to sort through which South Asian wedding packages would be worth it to us, etc. And it was great to get help on that.
Throughout the process it definitely felt like Indian Destination Wedding had our best interest in mind which was very comforting! I would’ve been so much more stressed coordinating directly with the resort for booking and event planning. When we ran into issues or had questions he was also willing to hop on a call or answer emails quickly, and we really appreciated his help in solving a few problems we ran into!
He also helped us book our honeymoon and arranged transportation for after the wedding 🙂

We got married in Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres and the coordinator we were working with quit! We had a few coordinators that left us hanging. Ateet stepped in and made things happen! IDW understood our needs/wants from the start. It became very easy for us to pick a resort that worked best for us based off the presentation given by them. We also received support throughout the whole process from understanding the room block contract and getting better rates for the rooms. We contacted IDW numerous times throughout the year and a half of planning and got responses pretty quick. The tracker of the room block of who has booked and how many nights and arrival/departure time was very handy and was used by us many times to stay organized but also to truly understand our guest count. The guest-check in was personalized due to IDW sending over banners to the resort with our pictures. We took those home and will forever cherish that moment!
