Gurleen and David’s destination wedding plans began when they worked with us to find the best location and resort for their wedding week. They wanted a resort that truly understood the finer details of South Asian weddings and had ample experience executing them.
By taking them through our signature Resort Match Finder process, we narrowed down to Generations Riviera Maya for some of the events and its sister resort, the adults-only El Dorado Royale. The beauty of this arrangement is that El Dorado Casitas Royale is next door to these properties and since they are all sister properties, guests of Generations can go to the restaurants at either resort. This offers a total of 18 restaurant options which adds even more value to your stay.
In addition, Generations is a beachfront property which experience in South Asian weddings so it is well-equipped with most anything you would need for your wedding week events.

The videography team at Saptapadi Weddings turned the wedding into a cinematic film that showcased the genuine love Gurleen and David have for each other. This team works hard to ensure they understand the vision for the wedding.
They are experienced in South Asian weddings so they know the especially important moments to get on camera. But what makes them special is they also capture those smaller moments that might be easy to miss but speak volumes about the bond between couples and their friends and families.
To make sure that Gurleen looked perfect in her wedding photos and videos, her glam team, consisting of Loto Mendhi and Alex Corbanezi, were there to help. Loto Mehndi specializes in intricate wedding henna designs that tell a couple’s love story beautifully.
They create designs that can be more traditional or more modern. Their goal is to create art on the skin that is as beautiful as each client. The Alex Corbanezi team created looks for Gurleen that not only celebrated her unique beauty but also added an element of glam. The team works with many South Asian clients and knows the colors that work well with various South Asian skin tones.
When choosing your glam team, have an idea in mind of the kind of designs or looks you like. But be open to new perspectives to create the best overall look. Bring any images you find from bridal magazines that inspire you. Also, if you have some of your wedding outfits picked out already, bring a picture so your glam team can work off of the colors and patterns in them for inspiration.
After the wedding ceremony, done by Sikh Wedding Mexico, it was time for the grand reception. Guests enjoyed delicious and authentic South Asian meals prepared by Chef Kaushal. Amit Kapoor of Kapoor Music Enterprise, created the perfect atmosphere with the tracks he spun that turned the reception into an unforgettable experience.
From young to old, the guests were all energized by the smooth transitions from song to song. Playing international hits throughout the evening, Amit kept the crowd on the dance floor enjoying songs that appealed to everyone.
