We had the privilege of getting a sneak peek before it opened and are excited to share our thoughts. Since the resort is so new, a portion of the rooms and services are available; however, all of them will be ready by 2025 when most weddings will take place here.

Overview of AVA Cancun
After a short, 10-minute taxi ride from the airport, you’ll arrive at AVA Cancun greeted by its tall curved buildings providing perfect views of the beach. Located along the boulevard containing the Cancun Hotel Zone shopping malls, its perfect location will allow you and your guests to enjoy all that Cancun has to offer during your wedding week.
Our clients have loved finding resort with proximity to this area because it make it easy to find the perfect souvenirs to take back home. But if you would rather stay on-site, you can also enjoy its own shopping area. While the resort has night clubs and multiple entertainment options, you can also enjoy the famed Cancun nightclubs which are just 30 minutes away.
Rather take in a relaxing game of golf? The Riviera Cancun Golf course is just a short walk from AVA Cancun.
This is one of the bigger resorts in Cancun making it perfect for Indian destination weddings as it offers ample space. It is split into North and South sections and has 1,743 rooms, suites, villas including an oceanfront Friends & Family Suite.

AVA Cancun feels like it is its own little city with so much to see and do that you won’t need to leave the resort to have a wonderful time here. While it is an oceanfront resort, the beach is not currently accessible though for some brides, grooms and their guests, this might be a good thing.

This is their private 2.8-acre artificial saltwater bay filled with translucent turquoise water. While weddings directly on the beach will not be an option, there are several beautiful spots that work for Indian weddings that will still offer you the ability to have your wedding outdoors.
- Panoramic Terrace: Perfect for bigger weddings, this terrace has a capacity of up to 200 guests for ceremonies and 300 for reception.
- North and South Bay Terrace: These terraces offer ocean views for your ceremony, cocktail and reception, with a capacity of up to 100 guests.
- Aquatico Terrace: An oceanfront terrace that has a capacity of up to 100 people.
- Panormanic ballrooms: Two ballrooms that give panoramic ocean views.
Indian destination wedding packages
AVA Cancun offers free events when you book a minimum number of rooms. You can use this toward events such as your ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, welcome events and more. For Indian weddings, you can earn an unlimited number of free events.
The more room nights you and your guests book together, the more you will earn. You only need to book 10 rooms for three nights to begin earning free events. Meeting this minimum will allow you to earn a two-hour dinner reception with standard setup plus food and beverages included.
If you booked 50 rooms over the course of your wedding week, you can get a four-hour dinner reception and another four-hour event that you can use on another day (for instance, a sangeet night). These free events do not include extras such as customized décor, flowers, fireworks, entertainment, lighting, dance floor and other options.
