Angel and Nico’s South Asian beach destination wedding at the Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres was a dream come true. The sun-kissed beach and clear blue skies provided a picturesque backdrop for their wedding week in paradise.
From the ceremony to the reception, every moment was filled with joy, color, and vibrant celebrations. Read on to learn about the details of this beautiful wedding and learn key takeaways you can use.
Angel and Nico’s destination wedding plans began with finding the right location and resort. We helped them do just that but taking them through our signature Resort Match Finder process. Part of this process includes getting a deep sense of not only their wants, needs and budget, but also what kind of experience they want for their family and friends.
After reviewing several options, we narrowed it down to Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres. This saved Angel and Nico a great deal of time. The process of finding, reviewing, and comparing and contrasting various resorts can be overwhelming.
In addition, you would still need to find out which ones are truly experienced when it comes to South Asian weddings. Then, you’ll need to ensure you know which ones offer the best packages for your budget. And you’d still need to find the ones that offer the unique features that you and your guests need. And once you’ve found one, you’d still need to find flights for your guests and make arrangements so that everyone gets there on time.
It can be a daunting process if you do it alone so we highly recommend you work with us as we have deep relationships with the resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean. That means we not only know which ones are best suited for South Asian weddings but we also provide additional perks as a result.
In Angel and Nico’s case, Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres offered ample space for their wedding events and had features that made it an excellent option for their guest who have children.
Angel and Nico worked with the wonderful team at Unique Stories Weddings to plan their wedding. They are experienced with South Asian weddings in Mexico and the Caribbean and provide brides and grooms with an excellent experience from start to finish.
Having worked in the wedding department of the hotel sector in addition to working with brides and grooms for years as wedding planners, this team understands what it takes to put on a spectacular wedding on the beach. They work to negotiate with vendors, create timelines for the wedding, creating breathtaking layouts for the wedding events and they coordinate with the hotel teams to ensure that your wedding runs as smoothly as possible.
The photography and videography for the wedding was by the great Sweet Caribbean Photography team. They are excellent at capturing the true essence of the people and events they capture on camera. They are passionate about the work they do and about the tropics. They are inspired by the Mexican Caribbean’s colors, light, spaces and the sea and use all of these creatively to tell a couple’s love story.
Angel and Nico wanted their guests to feel especially loved during their wedding week so they thoughtfully prepared chic white tote bags by Lomas Travel filled with tokens of appreciation and love. The personalized touch added an extra element of warmth and gratitude to the celebrations. They also treated them to an exhilarating show later on by Drums in Paradise that had fire breathers and fire dancers who captivated the crowd, igniting an electrifying energy throughout the evening. Water drummers added their unique rhythmic beats, infusing the festivities with a sense of laughter, wonder and excitement.
During the Vidhi ceremony, Angel donned a flowing light yellow lehenga, emanating radiance and joy. The ceremony took place outdoors, with the tranquil waters as a serene backdrop. For this and all of her wedding events, Angel looked absolutely radiant and glamorous with the help of the remarkable Alex Corbanezi team for hair and makeup and Loto Mehndi for her mehndi.
The Alex Corbanezi team skillfully applies tailored makeup looks to brides using airbrush makeup that lasts throughout the wedding events. They are masterful at finding just the right colors that will accentuate a bride’s natural beauty and they ensure that everyone they work with not only looks beautiful but feels beautiful, too.
With their expertise and passion for this ancient art form, Loto Mehndi brings a touch of cultural beauty to brides and guests alike. What sets them apart, beyond their talent for applying intricate patterns on hands and feet, is their commitment to using organic ingredients in their henna paste. This ensures that their designs not only showcase intricate patterns but also provide long-lasting color and stain.
To create a wedding that will impress, your wedding events have to create the right ambiance. That’s where it helps to have the right décor, audio visual team, and special effects. For décor, Angel and Nico worked with Zuniga. They are a trusted company that offers multiple décor options for rental ensuring that your wedding will be styled to reflect your personal tastes. Their rentals create luxurious, vibrant environments for guests that set the perfect tone for beach weddings.
Ohm Audiovisual ensured that the sites and sound of the wedding were perfect. Having larger weddings means that you need a pro AV team so that guests can enjoy each of your wedding events without experiencing any audio-visual issues. Pyrotech is another vendor that added excitement to the wedding. They offer sparklers, fireworks and other special effects options to take weddings to a whole new level.
The baraat, a lively and exuberant procession, was a vibrant spectacle. Colorful smoke filled the air, creating an enchanting atmosphere as Nico and his groomsmen arrived at the venue on a charming boat. The beats of traditional drums, by the Drums in Paradise team, resonated in the air, creating an infectious energy that set the tone for the festivities to come. They are a professional group that offers multiple entertainment options to keep guests engaged and excited throughout your wedding week.
The outdoor Hindu beach ceremony was a sight to behold. Angel, adorned a stunning red South Asian lehenga, exuding elegance and grace. As the waves gently lapped against the shore, the couple exchanged vows surrounded by their loved ones. The ambiance was truly magical, with the natural beauty of the beach enhancing the heartfelt emotions of the moment.
Throughout the ceremony, guests received personalized coconuts by Kocoo bearing the initials and wedding hashtag of the bride and groom. These refreshing delights added a tropical touch and served as a delightful memento of the joyous occasion. They also received snacks served in cute cartons, adorned with cartoon images of the bride and groom, adding a playful and charming element to the culinary experience.
Angel and Nico also had an indoor church wedding as well with Angel holding a breath-taking bouquet of cream and pink roses. She looked stunning in a long white gown and flowing veil.
The reception was a feast for the senses. Guests loved waving glow sticks as they danced to the incredible beats of DJ Prit Modi of MVP DJs, creating a mesmerizing sight as the night unfolded. MC Sorab (also of MVP DJs) ensured everyone had a wonderful time and kept the guests energized throughout the reception. The ceiling over the dance floor was adorned with an abundance of hanging flowers, creating a whimsical and romantic ambiance. The tables had exquisite floral arrangements, adding a touch of elegance to the evening.
Guests loved the delicious foods that were a blend of South Asian and Mexican cuisine during the reception and the other wedding events as well. Catering was by Patravali who creates gorgeous and satisfying spreads of authentic South Asian meals for weddings. No wedding in Mexico is complete without churros and guests experienced the best from Los Pockets. And for dessert, the team at Lluvia De Azucar had an impressive array of mouth-watering options.
