We are so excited to welcome you all to our wedding weekend at the AVA Resort Cancun in Cancun, Mexico.

We have set up a group reservation service with Indian Destination Wedding to make this experience as easy as possible.

We have arranged special events for our wedding weekend and in order to participate in these events, you must book hotel accommodations through our travel agent. If you make your own hotel arrangements, you will incur additional fees in order to participate in our events at the resort. Please note, a three (3) night minimum stay is required, but you are welcome to extend your vacation using our special group rates.

As per resort policy, all wedding guests MUST book their rooms through this website. Any guest who books their room through a third party website, including but not limited to, the actual resort website, Expedia, Kayak, Costco Travel, etc. will be considered to be booked OUTSIDE of the wedding room block and will NOT be able to access the wedding events without additional fees being imposed.

Final Payment Date: 8/28/2025

Any booking made after 6/20/2025 will be due in full.

For guaranteed accommodations, and in accordance with the resort booking policies, the Book by Date for this wedding is 6/20/2025, however, we can assist you with room bookings until 8/28/2025 (final payment date) provided the resort has availability. All guests are encouraged to book well in advance of this date.

• Cancellations received 150 days to 121 days prior to arrival deposit are refundable.
• Cancellations received 120 days to 91 days prior to arrival 50% of the total room revenue will be assessed.
• Cancellations within 90 days of travel, the booking is nonrefundable.
• All cancellations must be sent in writing via email.

You have the option to purchase the travel insurance option at the time of deposit. More info on the insurance is listed below under the insurance section. Travel insurance allows you to cancel and receive a monetary refund.

Resort Booking Policy Limitations

• The resort will not allow any room changes once the group is within 75 days of travel. This includes the addition of nights, name changes etc.
• The resort will not allow a reduction of nights after the final payment has been made.

Please check with your local Consular’s Office for VISA stipulations and entrance requirements.

Guests can work with Indian Destination Wedding to obtain airfare pricing and book airfare directly with the agency or can book airfare on their own.

Only the hotel booking is required to be made through Indian Destination Wedding, to avoid additional fees.

If you are booking your own airfare, please fly into Cancun International Airport (CUN).

The Varma and Mirson families will graciously be covering the cost of roundtrip airport transfers from Cancun International Airport (CUN).

You will be sent an email 90 days prior to arrival to submit your flight info using the form in that email. Please have your flights booked by that time.

Arrival airport transfers are specifically from the airport to the wedding resort listed above. Departure transfers are from the wedding resort listed above to the airport. If you are staying somewhere else prior to the wedding or or after the wedding at another resort then please let our team know (AT THE TIME OF BOOKING) so we can provide you a custom option.

Baggage Allowance – The transfer vehicle allows for one suitcase and one carry-on per passenger. If you will have more luggage than the allowed amount, please let us know immediately by emailing us at transfers@indiandestinationwedding.com so we can make arrangements for you.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the current traffic conditions with the construction of additional roads near the airport, your departure transfer pickup time could be up to 5 hours prior to your flight’s departure time.

If a special promo rate exists on the hotel direct website, we can book that special rate for you as long as the promo is still valid. Please note: the cancellation policies of the booking will still be in effect as listed on this website.

The information below specifies room category and price per night based on occupancy. Flights are NOT included. Rates will vary according to room occupancy, so please check with our travel agent based on your specific needs.
Rates listed below INCLUDE:
1. All inclusive accommodations at AVA Resort Cancun, including meals, drinks and activities as defined by the resort. Additionally, special food will be catered for all wedding events
2. All taxes, fees and tips, bellman and housekeeping fees.
3. Waived Private Event Fees.

This resort is a very child friendly resort with facilities in place to cater to your children’s needs. The resort houses a fully functional daycare service and personal childcare is also available if needed (please inquire for details). Let us make it as memorable an occasion for both adults and the kids.

PLEASE NOTE: Travel insurance is only available to guests who have a valid US or Canadian mailing address where they reside. However, residents of the Quebec province are not eligible. If you live in the province of Quebec or in a country outside the US or Canada, you would need to purchase travel insurance from a local insurance provider.

Insurance can only be purchased at the time of deposit.

Our Insurance options also includes in-destination COVID-19 Medical insurance.

We always recommend getting travel insurance which can be of great help in case of any issues that may arise. Insurance is optional and additional. Insurance must be purchased at the time of deposit. Insurance can safeguard you against the unknown and provide financial refunds on your travel investment depending on the circumstance.

Insurance rates will vary based on residency, age, and total package price. Typical average insurance prices are between $99-$129 per person. While those are the typical rates, all 3 factors play a part in your actual price which can vary from $69-$199 per person.

The amount of refund is based on the reason you provide to the insurance company at the time you file your claim. The cost of the insurance is non-refundable once purchased.

The government of the Municipality of Benito Juarez Quintana Roo has added an Environmental Tax, which is the payment for the environmental sanitation right, applicable to all visitors per room per night. Tax of 26 Mexican pesos, (approx. 1.40 USD) per room, per night. This tax will have to be paid directly at the Destination.

For example: A room that stays 3 nights will be charged a total of $4.20 by the resort for this environmental tax.

We would like to inform you that as of April 1, 2021, the state of Quintana Roo will be requiring all foreign tourists to pay a tax of $271 Mexican pesos (around $16 USD). The payment can be made prior to travel, upon arrival or during the stay, as the tax will be imposed upon departure. Visitors will have the option to access http://visitax.gob.mx/, where they will complete a brief questionnaire and make the payment.

The VISITAX form will request the following information:
• Number of people traveling
• Name, age, and passport number of each individual
• Departure date

Every tourist departing the state of Quintana Roo must show their proof of payment at the airport prior to boarding.
