The mission of the American Cancer Society is to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research, and patient support, to ensure everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.

For more than 10 decades, the American Cancer Society has been dedicated to pursuing better outcomes for every cancer, every life. Today, more people are surviving cancer than ever before, but there is still work to be done. Join us, support us, and help us end cancer as we know it, for everyone.

We are Blood Cancer United, and we believe everyone with blood cancer deserves a longer, better life.

That’s why we are on a mission to cure blood cancer and improve the quality of life of all patients and their families. How? We fund life-saving blood cancer research around the world, provide free information and support services for patients and their families, and are the voice for those seeking access to quality, affordable, coordinated care.

With your help, we have invested more than $2 billion in groundbreaking research supporting many of today’s most innovative approaches to treatment—helping those with blood cancer not only survive but also thrive.

Together we can build a brighter future.

Treatments developed at St. Jude Children’s Hospital have helped raise the survival rate for children with cancer in the United States, where 4 out of 5 children survive cancer. In many countries, however, 1 out of 5 children who develop cancer will survive. We won’t stop until no child dies from cancer, no matter where they live.

Our goal is to improve global survival rates for six of the most common forms of childhood cancer from 20% to 60% by 2030.

Tens of thousands of volunteers, donors and supporters advance the Make-A-Wish® vision to grant the wish of every child diagnosed with a critical illness. In the U.S. and its territories, a wish is granted every 33 minutes.
